The Fascinating Story about Slushy Machines
The slushee was allegedly invented about 1800 in a bar called Venus in Santiago, Chile, approximately twenty three miles east of the Tiano iron mine, by a collection of U.S. mining engineers. Stories persist that Jennings Cox developed the beverage when he ran out of gin whilst entertaining American guests.
Initially the slushee was served in a tall glass crammed with cracked ice. A teaspoon of sugar was poured on to the ice and the juice of one or two limes was squeezed on the sugar. 2 or three oz . of rum completed the blend. The glass was next frosted by stirring with a long handled spoon.
Later on the Slushee evolved to be mixed in a cocktails shaker with exactly the same ingredients but with shaved ice. After a thorough shaking, it was poured into a perfectly chilled flute glass.
Consumption of the slushee beverage stayed localized until 1909, when Admiral Lucius W. Johnson, a U.S. Navy health officer, tried Cox’s beverage. Johnson consequently introduced it to the Army and Navy Club in Washington, D.C.
The slushee has become progressively popular and the slushee spread across North & South America rapidly, until Prohibition in the United states (1920–1933) slowed the momentum substantially. Even so, once alcohol was made legitimate again in the US, the concept of the slushee spread rapidly throughout north America, and the fad passed on all over the world. The slushee stayed trendy until the 1960’s, when other recreational drugs grew to become popular.
These days the frozen slushee device happens to be very popular. A Slushie Machine creates an instant frozen slushee. The slushee mix which is a blend of fresh fruit and drinking water, is put in to the slushee machine and within 1 hour the device creates frozen slushies without all the bother of mixing every drink. It is this ease in producing the refreshments that has seen the widespread use of slushee machines at all types of functions. Slush Machine Hire is now very popular for wedding receptions get-togethers and corporate events around the planet.
