  1. I got this Melissa and Doug wooden food groups set for my 20 month old. When it got here I was surprised how many foods came with the set, as well as the quality of the product. My daughter just loves them, and plays with them daily. She likes to pretend eat or drink them and goes over the names of the foods. I’m still trying to show her how the foods fit in the different groups. The wooden bins are just as durable as the foods. I would highly recommend this to anyone out there looking for an educational, fun food play set. Melissa and Doug wooden toys are durable, and very cute.

  2. Just got it today and am unimpressed with how small and obviously fake the play food is. The pieces are unrealistically small. Doesn’t come close to the other food that Melissa & Doug makes. Pretty disappointed. The fish is so small that I think it should have been thrown back into the river.

  3. Melissa and Doug toys are always high quality. I purchased this item to add to my son’s new grocery stand. The wooden crates make the food look even more market-like, which is perfect. Great toys!

  4. As always a great product from Melissa and Doug at a great price. This set of play food is head and shoulders above the other play sets. So durable, not like the plastic and cardboard sets.

  5. A whole lot of food for the $$, I couldn’t beleive how many pieces are in this set. Nice enough quality. My 18-month-old daughter isn’t so into them, she cooks her regular old blocks more than these right now but they’re a nice starter play food set and she’ll grow into them. I think they make a great gift along with the M&D wooden cookware set.
